Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: Force 5-6 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered:
we got to the estuary about 3pm, and measured the wind at about force 4.
So we riged a 5.0 for Sarah and a 5.7 for me.
We had only just started when the wind picked up, there were some big
gusts. I was struggling with my 5.7 so I nicked Sarahs 5.0, and although
still overpowered I was in a little bit more control. Sarah decided to sit
it out, I did offer to rig a smaller sail honest ;)
I had a bit of a rest and the wind dropped off slightly, so I went out
again, and had a much better time, still on the 5.0.
The wind looked like it was going to pick up again, so I decided to call it
a day, well it was 5:30 anyway and I was getting tired.
It was a tough sail, but I enjoyed myself although I hadn't been able to do
more than just blast back and forth. :)
